The parents of Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu are described in the Durga Purana. There is an episode in Durga Purana when the Vedas came out from the churning of the ocean, then Brahma Ji was given the Vedas. Then when Brahma Ji read the Vedas, he fell in the Vedas that he received Kaal (Niranjan, father of Brahma Vishnu Mahesh) from Om Jaap. After reading this in the Vedas, Brahma Ji came to his mother Durga and said, O mother, I want to see my father, Durga said that Niranjan is your father, he does not give darshan to anyone by any method. Then Brahma ji withdrew and decided to do penance. Then Brahma Ji meditated four yoga for his father's darshan, but to no avail, then Brahma ji came to Durga and he lied that he had darshan of his father. Durga got the voice of Kaal (Niranjan). So he said that Brahma is lying.

I did not give any darshan to anyone, because of this Durga got angry and cursed Brahma. Then Durga Mata went to her second son Vishnu and said to him that your elder brother Brahma did not see his father if you also think that you will do penance and see your father, then try now because later creation You have to compose then you do not become obstructive at that time, then Vishnu Ji decided to do penance, then Vishnu reached the world of Sheshnag to do penance.

 Vishnu was enraged at seeing his people coming without permission. Then Sheshnag Ji released poison from his thousand fruits which spread like smoke all around, due to which the color of Vishnu's body turned black. Vishnu was furious after seeing this, when he was about to hit Sheshnag, then the Akashvani came out. That is Vishnu, I am speaking your father, do not fight this Sheshnag, you should take revenge for this mistake as Krishna and go tell your mother Durga the truth that I did not see my father or else you are like Brahma. I will be your father, I will never see you.

 This is my cheap and firm rule. Hearing this Akashvani, Vishnu Ji came to Mata Durga and he told everything truthfully, Mother Durga Mata was very happy with this and gave a boon to Vishnu Ji, then Mata Durga came to her third son Shiva and said. O son, both of your elder brothers have not seen your father, if you also want to make some efforts to see your father, then do it now and do not become an obstacle in creation. Shiv Ji whole overhearing this. Mother, if my two brothers have not seen, then I do not try but mother give me a boon that I may become immortal. Then Durga Ji said that you cannot be immortal, it is the rule of this creation that wherever it is born, its death is also certain, but I tell you a method that will make your age longer than both of your brothers. Your death will not end.
